David Waselkow is a relationship management and conflict expert helping clients increase their level of self-awareness, build better relationships and successfully manage and prevent conflict. He provides these services in therapeutic and consultative settings. Specializing in adult and late adolescent populations, David offers services for challenges including but not limited to couple's therapy, anxiety, depression, anger, stress, trauma, men's issues, and performance enhancement. David works with individuals, couples, and families. He also provides consulting services for individuals, teams, and business organizations on matters including executive and leadership development, team dynamics, conflict management, performance enhancement and organizational change.

Influenced by solution-focused approaches and Relationship Awareness Theory, David believes in being efficient yet comprehensive and in devoting energy and resources towards understanding, leveraging, and deploying strengths. He specializes in strength-based approaches and helping people focus on what is right instead of focusing exclusively on what people feel may be wrong. Using the expertise of clients, David comes alongside them to help facilitate the change they seek. David earned his Bachelor's degree from Illinois State University and then went on for a Master's degree in International Relations from Northern Illinois University and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. He is a certified SDI facilitator, a member of the American Counseling Association, and an inductee into Chi Sigma Iota, the Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International. David's previous experiences include teaching at Northern Illinois University as well as management and consulting in the private sector in addition to therapy in both community mental health and private practice settings. He is the author of numerous articles on a wide range of issues including mental health, marriage, men's health, and social and political issues.

Born and raised in Colorado, David is an avid Denver Broncos fan. He has lived in the Peoria area for several years and enjoys playing golf, sports, reading, jazz music and cooking. David also works as a writer publishing articles for magazines and is currently working on a book project.
