It all started with a hot air balloon ride.
Please allow me to explain:
Ever since I can remember, I wanted to head off into the clouds on a magic hot air balloon ride. I imagined happiness is up where the birds fly!
As an adult, I was able to check this off of my "bucket list". But, little did I realize this anticipated, dreamy moment was my absolute nightmare—as the balloon rose off the ground, anxiety, self-doubt, dehydration, and muscle tension rapidly crept into my body and mind as if I were about to give a speech to thousands of people.
Despite the fact that I was overcome by mental paralysis and physical sickness, I wanted to enjoy this time the best way I could; after all, hot air balloon rides are expensive and there is no escape! I took deep breathes, accepted that nervousness was an appropriate feeling to have, relaxed my muscles, focused on the great things happening in the moment, and drank some cold water. I got through it, was able to smile, enjoy the view, and the only person who knew I was suffering was me.
In that moment, I learned a valuable lesson:
Life is what you make it, while some experiences aren't what you expect. Knowing that you can create better experiences for yourself can make your life a happier place to be. It's okay if your experiences aren't perfect because we are not perfect, we are human. And, every second you are alive is an opportunity for you to make it different from the moment before.
(I also learned I am scared of heights.)
I am dedicated to finding realistic, concrete, and creative strategies that will increase your happiness in a holistic way. Because your time is precious, we will work together on your goals, not mine, and you will leave the session feeling empowered with a roadmap of your wellness journey.
I would love to meet with you so you can start feeling like a better version of yourself.
